These letters are my personal thoughts and visions that fill my days. They are an insight in a world that sometimes we don’t talk about. My Love Letters validate how we feel and hopefully soothe a wounded heart. They are full of LOVE and I wish the words on page to create comfort and maybe to think a little differently about things. We all need more LOVE!
Love Letters came about 13 years ago. Not with the intention to write a book but mainly to share how I felt.
My inspiration comes mostly from my early morning walks. Walking gives me perspective on my thoughts and ideas and the happenings that surround my day and beyond my own world. I would take a photo of something that caught my eye. Something that would become my muse for not only my words, but my thoughts and sometimes a painting. Little did I realize at the time that these photos would become a book one day! As a side note, over the past 13 years, phone cameras have advanced remarkably. I have deliberately left the earlier photographs untouched in my book, as they reflect these technological developments and form part of the story of this journey.
There are 100 Love Letters in my Book.
99 written by me and the 100th letter written by you.
Letter writing seems to have gone by the wayside, an almost old fashioned action, but I know the feeling of writing a Love Note brings about a sense of joy, of letting go, relief and clarity.
Maybe we need to get back to these simple acts to ground us all.
We all need more LOVE.
Love Steph xx
